CenterPoint Financial Group is excited to announce Kiel VanderVeen, Certified Financial Planner™ Professional, has once again made the Forbes Magazine’s Next-Generation Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list.

“To make the list again this year is a great honor. I’m very grateful to be among the select group on the 2019 list,” VanderVeen said. “Here’s to 2020!”

Kiel works in both Nebraska City & Omaha servicing business owners, farmers, and engineers to find financial balance. After serving for many years in tax preparation, Kiel became a financial advisor with a well-rounded understanding of tax implications. He continues to keep tax mitigation in mind in his approach to investing.

Having earned his Series 7 & 66 securities license, as well as becoming a Certified Financial Planner™ in 2015, Kiel is very familiar with the complexities of wealth management. Kiel’s area of focus involves tax mitigation, income planning, and charitable planning.

Today’s financial industry faces many new challenges with increasing regulations to be on top of. By earning his Certified Financial Planner™ certification, Kiel set himself apart from others, demonstrating his commitment to ethical standards when making financial planning recommendations. Dedication like this, along with other factors such as revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass the highest standards of best practices are all factors developed by SHOOK Research in their determination of who makes the Forbes Magazine Next-Generation Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list.

“At CenterPoint Financial Group, we make our client’s best interest the driving force of the recommendations we make. I wouldn’t want to do it any other way,” VanderVeen said.

SHOOK Research considered advisors born in 1980 or later with a minimum 4 years relevant experience. Advisors have built their own practices and lead their teams; joined teams and are viewed as future leadership; or a combination of both. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures derived from telephone and in-person interviews and surveys: service models, investing process, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, etc.; and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criteria because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC. Neither SHOOK nor Forbes receives compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking. Raymond James is not affiliated with Forbes or Shook Research, LLC. This ranking is not indicative of advisor's future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients' experience. Out of 6,389 advisors considered, 1,489 made the final list in 2019. For more information see www.SHOOKresearch.com.
