Nate LeGrand, CFP® - Advisor

President & CEO

nate.legrand@yourcenterpoint.com

Nate is a second-generation financial planner who started in 1995 before co-founding CenterPoint Financial Group in 2000. Nate continues to lead the team at CenterPoint as President & CEO, positioning the company as one of the pre-eminent planning firms in Nebraska, with locations in both Omaha & Nebraska City.

A 1995 graduate of Doane University, Nate completed his Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Math and Economics. In addition to his education, Nate is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional – a certification upholding the principles of honesty, integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence as outlined in the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics. CFP® professionals are required to act as a “fiduciary” when providing financial advice to a client—acting in the best interest of their financial planning clients.

In 2020, Nate was recognized again by Forbes Magazine as one of Nebraska’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors. This achievement, determined by SHOOK Research, was a true honor for Nate and he is grateful to be included among those select few.

Outside of the office, Nate and his wife Alyssa enjoy spending time with their three daughters while cheering them on in their many activities. Growing up a huge basketball fan, and spending four years playing college basketball, you can also catch Nate following the NBA in his free time.

CFP® | Certified Financial Planner
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., owns the certification marks above, which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements. The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification is obtained by completing an advanced college-level course of study addressing the financial planning subject areas that the CFP board’s studies have determined as necessary for the competent and professional delivery of financial planning services, a comprehensive certification exam (administered in 10 hours over a 2 day period) and agreeing to be bound by the CFP board’s standard of professional conduct. As a prerequisite the IAR must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited United States college or university (or foreign university equivalent) and have at least 3 years of full-time financial planning experience (or equivalent measured at 2,000 hours per year). This designation requires 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years and renewing an agreement to be bound by the standards of professional conduct.

The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 32,000 nominations, more than 4,000 advisors received the award. This ranking is not indicative of advisor's future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients' experience. Neither CenterPoint Financial Group nor any of its Financial Advisors  pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating. Please visit https://www.forbes.com/best-in-state-wealth-advisors for more info.
  • 2019: roughly 29,334 advisors nominated by their firms, 3,477 received the award
